Micro-Star International (MSI), a popular manufacturer of high performance PCS, laptops and gaming peripherals introduced a new line of gaming laptops at the recently concluded Inter-University eSports Championship.

Organized by Gamer.LK, the Inter-University eSports Championship was held on the 21st and 22nd of April 2018 at Trace Expert City in Maradana. The launch took place amidst the action and excitement of what has become Sri Lanka’s largest University Sports event. The new suite of gaming laptops powered by Intel 8th Generation processors are headlined by three models.

These are the new GS65 Stealth Thin gaming laptop, GT75 Titan and GE Raider RGB Edition. The launch featured the MSI GS73 laptop which was placed at the MSI experience stall at the event. Here, participants were able to test and feel the laptop’s performance and capabilities.

GS65 Stealth Thin Gaming Laptop

The GS65 Stealth Thin features a 144Hz display with a 7ms response rate. This means that your games are smoother, giving you the edge over your opponents. To make use of that 144Hz panel, the GS65 Stealth Thin is equipped with up to a GeForce GTX 1070 graphics chip. It also packs the latest 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor.

Further, the GS65 Stealth Thin also features a new per-key RGB keyboard designed by SteelSeries. Users can customize each key and receive real-time game status through keyboard lighting. Weighing just 1.79kg, the Stealth Thin packs 8+ hours of battery life into a very slim chassis. It also supports upto 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and supports PCIe Gen3 SSDs. It also packs 3 USV 3.1 Type-A ports, 1 Thunderbolt Port, 1 HDMI 2.0 port, 1 mini Display Port, and a min-cin, and headphone out port.

GS73 & GS63 Stealth Processor Updates

In addition to the new GS65 Stealth Thin, MSI’s entire Stealth line is also getting upgraded with the newest processors. The new processor improves performance by almost 40 percent compared to the previous generation.

GT75 Titan with i9 Hexacore processor

With the introduction of the latest 8th Generation Intel processors, the GT series steps things up a notch. Packing Intel’s latest Core i9 overclocked processors in a gaming laptop, the GT75 is a Titan indeed.

Together with NVIDIA graphics and mechanical keyboards, the new GT series pushes performance further and offers a gaming experience like that of a fully-fledged desktop. for casual and pro gamers alike. In addition to the updates to the GT75 Titan, the GT83 Titan and GT63 Titan are also getting updated with the latest 8th generation processors.

GE Raider RGB Edition

The GE Raider RGB Edition is configurable with up to the latest 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics. Additionally, the Raider can be equipped with up to a 120Hz 3ms Wide-view or 4K IPS-Level display.
